Manly Rugby Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Matt McGoldrick as its Head Coach for the 2020 season.
In confirming the announcement, Club President Anthony Bergelin indicated:
“Matt has had an association with the Marlins that has spanned over 20 years and his experience in Rugby together with an in depth understanding of the Manly club won the day.
Wait! What! New Colts Coach and General Manager!
Congratulations to Nick Marshall who has been appointed 1st Grade Colts Coach for the next two years. Nick comes with wealth of playing and coaching experience from Norths Rugby Club. Having played 100+ grade games (winning a premiership) and coaching Norths lower Grades, Nick is keen to continue improving the Colts Program with the Marlins coaching group. Nick, has also been appointed NSW U18s coach for the next two seasons underlining his potential as a coach moving forward. Nick is already looking forward to getting on the field and getting ready for next season.
Congratulations also goes out to Rob Gallacher who has been appointed General Manager of the club after 4 years with Colts, the last 2 years running the program. The Marlins Colts have gone from 9th to 4th on the Colts Club Championship within Robs involvement with the program. The GM role has many pillars of management and will also include being involved in helping Colts recruitment, retention and transition to grade. Rob replaces the highly regarded Kate Newton, who has taken up a role in Corporate Partnerships with The Wests Tigers.
